Can you Put the Fur Back?

Sometimes we get Loveys who were loved so well that their fur came out!

Ouch!

It's not an uncommon malady and we're often asked if we can "re-fur" the bald spots.  Sadly, no - it's a bit like tufts in a carpet; once its lost, it's gone for good.

But what we CAN do is either:

1) Carefully turn the Lovey inside out and iron on interfacing to secure the rest of the fur (and leave the bare patches as a testament to the amount of love given and received!), or

2) Remove and replace the section of fur with a replacement swatch of furry fabric.  We can't often get an exact match but we're careful to consult with the Lovey's owner before we do anything drastic!  If we do this, we'll often iron on the interfacing to the rest of the fabric as a preventative measure.  No sense visiting us twice!

So, if your Lovey is looking a bit mangy, don't despair.  We're happy to figure out the best way to restore your Lovey's fluffiness!
