Hops-ie Daisy!

If you give a crank to a six-year-old, she's gonna want to turn it.

NEVERMIND that you've told her that it doesn't work - that the music box is dead, and that we might even have to do some open-bunny surgery to remove it.

NEVERMIND that you've already figured out a dozen potential ways to fashion a repair, had already searched eBay for replacements, and were hoping that the box would be somehow labeled with the name of its tune.

Nope - she doesn't care.  She'll just give the crank a REALLY hard turn and, in doing so,
fix the music box.

Note the slow head rotation - that's pretty talented, Hops!

And, bonus - Amalia's Nana ID'd the tune! (Thanks, Nana!) It's from Easter Parade:

The fix happened on the way home from school. Amalia had no reason to think she would be anything but successful, and happily carried the now-working Hops...

all the way home.

We perked up his ears, gave him a brush, and tada:

Looking good Hops!  You can thank Amalia!
